Registration & Refund Policy

You may register online on our website by clickingabove (recommended) or by mail. When you register online, you may pay by credit card. You will receive directions, details, and registration verification via email.

 

Registration and payment by check in the full amount is also available by mail. Make checks payable to the Emrys Foundation and indicate 

(1) the workshop(s) you wish to register for and

(2) your name, address, email and and phone number(s).

Tuition must be paid when registering. When you have paid and registered, you’ll receive an email (or phone call) confirming your space in a workshop.  If the workshop has filled, you’ll be offered the opportunity to be added to the waiting list.

 

Registration and Payment Policies

Our classes are small and often fill quickly. Tuition must be paid in full to guarantee a space in class. Returned checks will be assessed a $10 processing fee. When your registration is received, you will receive an email (or phone call if email is not available) confirming your registration or, if the class is full, your place on the waiting list.

 

The Writing Room reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or relocate courses to adjust for enrollment. Although unlikely, substitute faculty may be assigned and/or make-up classes may be added to the end of the term if a teacher must miss a class.  If it is necessary to cancel a course, all registered participants will be informed immediately and will be extended the opportunity to register for another course. If participants enrolled in a cancelled class do not wish to transfer, a full refund will be made.

 

Refund Policy

When you sign up for a class, you are (1) reserving a spot that prevents another writer from taking that workshop, (2) being counted in the minimum number of enrollments (3) increasing the salary that an instructor receives (instructor salaries are based on the number of students in a workshop). Because of this, you must cancel at least 5 business days in advance of the start date.

 

Refunds (minus a cancellation fee of $25) are available for those who cancel at least 5 business daysbefore the first meeting. Withdrawal notifications must be made to the director via e-mail, mindyfriddle@yahoo.com, andreceived and acknowledged at least 5 business days prior to the first date of the workshop. Withdrawal notification made fewer than five business days before the workshop, the day of the workshop, or after the workshop has begun are not eligible for refunds or transfers of any kind. If the Writing Room cancels a class due to low enrollments, all payments will be refunded in full.
