For several years, Emrys volunteers have led a creative writing workshop as one of the programs offered by the Cancer Support Community (CSC) of the Greenville Health System’s Cancer Institute. Four longtime participants in the class decided to share their personal stories and Emrys Press has recently published them in Four Stories of Hope. The contributors to this collection of stories have used writing as one way to navigate some of the challenges of living with cancer. It is their hope that their stories may serve as a source of reassurance and support for other cancer patients and their families.
The book is available free of charge and can be obtained at the Center for Integrative Oncology and Survivorship, Resource Center, 900 W. Faris Road, 1st floor, by contacting Kerri Susko, Director of the CSC, at 864-455-5809, by e-mail at email@example.com or via the Emrys website, www.emrys.org.
A book launch to celebrate the book and its authors is planned for Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at 5 o’clock at the Center for Hope and Healing at the Cancer Survivors’ Park, 52 Cleveland Street, Greenville, SC. We hope you’ll join us to toast the writers and hear excerpts from the book.
